Cooper Lord will make his debut for the Carlton Reserves as part of five additions to the team.
The Carlton Reserves have announced five changes for their upcoming match against Southport at IKON Park. Following last week’s bye, the team welcomes back four AFL-listed players as they bolster their lineup for the second half of the season.
Among the changes, Cooper Lord will debut for Carlton less than a month after being drafted mid-season. The 19-year-old midfielder, who has already played at the VFL level this season with North Melbourne’s VFL side, will be playing for his fourth team this year, having also appeared for the Sandringham Dragons and in the Young Guns representative game.
The Blues’ midfield will see significant changes with these new additions. David Cuningham returns after six weeks out due to injury, and Marc Pittonet is back in action after recovering from a finger injury sustained during the Sydney game. Jack Carroll also rejoins the team following his omission from the AFL side. VFL-listed youngster Darcy Hogg, son of Carlton premiership player Matthew Hogg, is included as the 23rd player.
Players exiting the lineup after a narrow loss to Essendon two weeks ago include Kristian Ferronato, Bailey Lambert, Michael Lewis, Luke Nelson, and Tom Phillips.
