Florida State football’s recruiting efforts have gained momentum in recent weeks. The Seminoles’ coaching staff has been actively adding talented players to the program’s future foundation.

Recently, we highlighted in an article that five-star offensive lineman commit Solomon Thomas visited Florida State on Friday for its fall camp practice. Although the Seminoles won’t practice on Saturday, recruits will still visit the campus.

With the dead period for recruiting over, we are now in the quiet period, allowing prospects to visit campuses. This gives Florida State a chance to strengthen its recruiting efforts and surpass rivals Miami and Florida.

It’s beneficial to have the coaching staff recruiting, but even more impactful when committed players pitch the program to prospects. Hearing from peers makes the experience more relatable for recruits.

On Saturday, committed players like five-star quarterback Brady Smigiel (2026), four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., and four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley visited the campus.

Smigiel, a California native, stands out with his 6’4″ frame and ability to deliver accurate passes from the pocket. Although a 2026 prospect, quarterbacks are highly influential among recruits.

Jones Jr., who shut down his recruitment after a push from rival Florida Gators, has been committed to the Seminoles since April 2023. He has expressed his admiration for the coaching staff and the family atmosphere at FSU.

Wiley, surprisingly choosing Florida State over the Georgia Bulldogs, showcases wide receivers coach Ron Dugans’ effective recruiting. This visit presents a great opportunity for all three recruits to highlight the future potential of FSU’s offense.
