Michigan was one of four finalists vying for 2026 four-star offensive tackle Kodi Greene from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, but on commitment day, the 6-foot-6, 285-pound prospect chose Oregon over Michigan, Washington, and USC.
Ranked as one of the top prospects in the 2026 recruiting cycle, Greene is No. 39 overall, the No. 6 offensive tackle, and the No. 5 player from California, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He had over 20 FBS offers.

Even though Michigan missed out on Greene, they are still off to a strong start with their 2026 recruiting class, securing commitments from four-star Cocoa (Fla.) quarterback Brady Hart in mid-June and four-star Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin cornerback Brody Jennings in late July.
