The Michigan Wolverines currently hold the 14th-ranked recruiting class according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. Under the guidance of Sherrone Moore, the team has secured 16 commitments for the 2025 class and is eager to add even more talent, with a decision from a highly-rated four-star athlete expected tonight.
Previewing Tonight’s Top-100 Decision
Andrew Marsh, a four-star wide receiver from Katy Jordan High School in Texas, is set to announce his college decision tonight at 6 p.m. Marsh is ranked as the No. 63 overall prospect in the 2025 class and is considered the ninth-best receiver.
All indications suggest that the Wolverines are the frontrunners to land the 6-foot-1, 175-pound receiver when he makes his decision public this evening.
Michigan’s wide receivers coach, Ron Bellamy, has developed a strong connection with both Marsh and his mother, who affectionately calls Bellamy “Uncle Ron” and sees him as a close family friend. Marsh would be the highest-ranked wide receiver Bellamy has secured during his time at Michigan.
In a conversation with The Michigan Insider’s Sam Webb, Marsh praised Bellamy for his consistency, saying, “Through everything, he’s just always been consistent. A lot of coaches change schools, lose touch, or go quiet when on vacation, but he’s the one guy who’s always been there. He’s personable, easy to talk to, and has a long history of success.”
Originally, Marsh planned to commit in November on Veterans Day in honor of his late father, but he has since decided to announce his choice this evening, coinciding with his father’s birthday. We’ll provide an update when he makes his decision later tonight.
Top In-State Prospect Building Connections with New Staff
The Wolverines have not secured the top recruit from their home state since landing Will Johnson in 2022. Ron Bellamy aims to change that trend as he strengthens his relationship with CJ Sadler, a top-100 athlete from the 2026 class.
Sadler, who stands 5-foot-10 and weighs 170 pounds, played quarterback last year for Detroit’s Cass Tech High School but is projected to play wide receiver or defensive back at the collegiate level.
Initially recruited by former defensive backs coach Steve Clinkscale, who followed Jim Harbaugh to the Los Angeles Chargers, Sadler has since increased his communication with both Bellamy and head coach Sherrone Moore following his visit to the Michigan spring game in April.
Sadler recently shared with The Wolverine’s Zach Libby, “Coach Bellamy calls, checks in, makes sure I’m good, and makes sure the family is good… When I talk to those guys, we don’t really talk about football. It’s more about life.”
During his spring game visit, Sadler also reconnected with former teammates from Cass Tech and Sound Mind Sound Body, the Detroit-based 7-on-7 academy where Sadler plays.
“It was great to see them,” Sadler said, “…those guys pushed me because I know what they’ve been through. I watched them grow up, played with them, and played against them. Seeing them at the next level motivates me.” Sadler will look to channel that motivation as he heads into his junior season as the top in-state player in his class.
The Wolverines face competition from schools like Colorado, LSU, Michigan State, Oregon, and Penn State but are expected to get Sadler back on campus for a game this fall.
Younger Brother of Michigan Commit Leaning Towards Wolverines
Michigan recently secured a commitment from 2025 four-star edge rusher Julius Holly, who visited Ann Arbor in June and again for the BBQ at the Big House in late July. He wasn’t alone during those visits — his younger brother, Jaxon Holly, a sophomore at Alpharetta (Georgia) High School, was also there. Early signs suggest that Jaxon could follow in his brother’s footsteps.
Jaxon, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound edge rusher, impressed Michigan’s defensive line coach Lou Esposito during a workout in June, leading to an offer shortly after. Now that Julius has committed, he’s been encouraging Jaxon to join him at Michigan. Jaxon shared with On3’s Zach Libby, “He’s definitely been recruiting me… and he always says ‘Go Blue’ when he comes into my room.”
Jaxon has been receptive to the idea, noting Michigan’s success in developing edge rushers like Aidan Hutchinson, who have gone on to find success in the NFL.

Over the weekend, Libby connected with the Holly brothers in Georgia for Alpharetta’s season opener. After speaking with Jaxon, who sported a Michigan wristband, Libby predicted that the Wolverines are likely to land him eventually.

On Monday, 2025 top-50 wide receiver Jerome Myles released his top-five schools and announced an October 30 decision date. Michigan didn’t make the cut, with Georgia, Ohio State, Texas A&M, USC, and Utah being the finalists.
Michigan coaches have been busy extending offers to prospects in the 2026 and 2027 classes over the past few days. Some of these offers include 2026 four-star tight end Brayden Fogle, 2026 four-star linebacker Duyon Forkpa, 2026 three-star athlete Dreshaun Ross, 2026 unranked linebacker Ashton Moore, 2027 top-10 running back Ezavier Crowell, and 2027 top-25 running back Landen Williams-Callis.
