L’Heureux has been especially noticeable, with some lineup projections even placing him as the third-line winger. This positioning has raised eyebrows, as it would potentially leave out Tomasino and Juuso Parssinen, both of whom have more experience. L’Heureux has just one year of professional experience with the Milwaukee Admirals, where he had a standout rookie season, but some question if it’s wise to throw him into the NHL in Game 1 against a strong opponent like Dallas. The debate is whether to go with the young, hard-hitting L’Heureux or rely on the more seasoned players, such as Tomasino, who brings more offensive polish, or Jankowski, a trusted veteran from last season.
Wiesblatt, meanwhile, has been one of the biggest surprises in camp. Known for his high energy and physical play, he has excelled during the preseason, including a key assist in a win over the Carolina Hurricanes. His strong performance has put him in the mix for a call-up if needed during the season, further bolstering Nashville’s depth.
On the defensive side, there’s also some fluidity, with questions surrounding whether Dante Fabbro or Marc Del Gaizo will secure the final spot. While top pairing Brady Skjei and Roman Josi are locks, the bottom pairing remains uncertain.
