The Las Vegas Raiders’ offseason is already proving to be eventful, despite only being a couple of weeks in. The team is in the process of searching for both a new head coach and general manager, signaling a major organizational shift. This offseason holds a different energy for the Raiders, partly due to the involvement of minority owner Tom Brady and primary owner Mark Davis in the decision-making process. Brady has joined the search committee, assisting Davis in finding the right leadership to help turn the franchise around, marking this as one of the most significant offseasons in the team’s history.

In addition to finding new leadership, the Raiders are also facing the task of identifying their next franchise quarterback. With the sixth overall pick in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, the team has several potential avenues to explore, including selecting a quarterback, signing one in free agency, or exploring trade options.

Among the Raiders’ current roster, defensive end Maxx Crosby is a player to watch closely this offseason. Crosby, one of the league’s top defensive players, has consistently expressed his commitment to the Raiders, emphasizing his desire to win and bring a Super Bowl to the team. Last season, Crosby was the subject of significant trade rumors, with teams like Green Bay and Buffalo showing interest.

Speaking on Good Morning Football, Crosby acknowledged the constant trade speculation but expressed his respect for the passionate Raiders fanbase, which often fuels the rumors. “Obviously, it is hard to avoid seeing all the noise and all those things, especially Green Bay and Buffalo and some of these fan bases, they do not stop and I respect it, that is one thing I love about being with the Raiders,” Crosby said. “The fan base is rabid, and they love football. They will do anything, they put their whole life into it.”

Crosby, who is under contract with the Raiders for now, noted that his focus remains on his personal recovery and staying healthy. He mentioned the uncertainty surrounding the team’s coaching situation and the lack of guaranteed money left on his current contract, suggesting that there are several important discussions to come. However, Crosby emphasized that he’s in a good place personally and is content with his situation, particularly as he gets to spend more time with his daughter during the offseason. “We will all let it play out how it is supposed to,” he said, hinting that any decisions regarding his future would unfold in due time.

As the offseason progresses, Crosby’s future with the Raiders remains a key storyline, and his next steps will depend on both the team’s decisions and his own career goals.
