The Minnesota Vikings, who had a 7–10 record at the end of the season, struggled with a number of offensive line ailments. Not more significant than Kirk Cousins, who had to undergo season-ending surgery after rupturing his Achilles in the middle of the season.
After sustaining a hamstring injury in week five, his top target, Justin Jefferson, was placed on injured reserve. Jefferson is regarded as one of the top wide receivers in the NFL and broke the record for most receiving yards in their first two seasons despite struggling with injuries the entire season.
As a contract year approached, Jefferson discussed his upcoming contract and what he hopes teams will do in the future. Adam Schein questioned Jefferson about his contract status on “Mad Dog Sports Radio.”
“I want to make a ton of money and join a company that truly cares about me and gives me what I deserve. I believe that I surround myself with the appropriate individuals who can help me compromise and act morally.
Jefferson, who will turn 25 in June, will inherit a substantial chunk of money upon the expiration of his contract. Tyreek Hill, Cooper Kupp, and Davante Adams are just a few of his colleagues who signed contracts worth up to $25 million annually. Jefferson, given his youth and aptitude, is probably within their reach.

Jefferson feels that the Vikings will make every effort to retain him in the building, even though he has stated that he will play for any team that values him. Time will tell, but next season, Jefferson will try to prove why he deserves to be compensated in line with the league’s best receivers.
